MANAS

Project MANAS

MANAS is an RMNCH+A Health Program with a special focus on Child Malnutrition funded by Asian Paints Ltd. Since 2022. The program is being implemented in 14 villages of the Khandala block, Satara District, Maharashtra.

MANAS project focuses on creating a health ecosystem that is responsive, affordable, and equitable, and which provides quality preventive, promotive, and curative primary healthcare for the poor with a focus on women, children, Adolescents, and other vulnerable populations.

2000 children, 200 pregnant women and lactating Mothers, and 750 adolescents are being supported under this project. Children up to 10 years old are being supported under the child health and nutrition program. Anemia detection and reduction programs, menstrual health and hygiene management programs and Life skills education programs are being organized for adolescents. The Maternal Health and Nutrition program is being carried out to reduce pregnancy-related complications by early identification and management of high-risk pregnancies as well as nutrition education to help them understand the importance of healthy dietary practices during the antenatal and postnatal period.
