Supported by the TATA Power Community Development Trust (TPCDT)
The communities in this hilly and remote area face challenges such as poor accessibility to government health services, limited health services and high out-of-pocket expenses for tertiary care. In response, Niramaya Health Foundation's Aarogya Project aims to enhance the health and nutritional levels of various groups within the community, including children, pregnant women, lactating mothers, adolescent girls and boys, as well as community men and women. The project delivers health services directly to people's doorsteps and conducts health education activities to boost health awareness and promote personal hygiene practices. It also includes capacity building of frontline workers, promotion of government health schemes, installation of sanitary napkin vending machines, and establishment of health and hygiene corners in schools to promote preventive health awareness among students.
