Aarogyajeevan Project

Niramaya is implementing the project Aarogyajeevan in the slums of Gilbert Hill, Andheri west through the support of Wipro Cares Foundation. The project envisages to touch upon the population of 3 lakh in three years. The objective of the program is to improve mother and child health to curb the rate of malnutrition among children. Need based curative services are provided to community people. Pregnant and lactating mothers are served with the support of visiting Gynecologists. As a part of preventive healthcare, health promotion activities, home visits are been carried out through Niramaya’s health workers to reach out to the maximum number of community people. Health Awareness sessions are conducted in one-to-one and groups with community women.
