Health Workers |
| |
Our health workers are the backbone of our work in
the community. We need committed workers,
preferably graduates (any stream) who are
comfortable in Hindi and/or Marathi. Knowledge of
spoken English is always an added advantage.

Volunteers |
| |
Niramaya invites interested individuals to
volunteer with us. Volunteers dont have to come
with clinical expertise to contribute. In Niramaya,
a lot of stress is placed on preventive health
rendered via the spread of basic education and
health awareness among communities. In the past we
have had social workers, social scientists,
doctors, and students of medicine and public
health volunteer with us. Write to us at

We would like our
volunteers to work with us for a minimum of 2
months |

Interested
volunteers are requested to send us a short write
up on their area of interest and proposed project
with Niramaya |

Volunteers are required to give a report at the
end of their time with Niramaya |

the project forms part of an academic or research
project, credit must be given to Niramaya in the
report |

Niramaya does not pay any compensation to its
volunteers |

This
summer, Mr. Ajay & Ms.Kate from Tufts University
School of Medicine, Boston are doing internship at
Niramaya for two months. |

In our time at
Niramaya, we have absolutely been blown away
by the enthusiasm of all the staff, the
breadth of services being undertaken, and
their genuine commitment to their mission
and to serving a diverse clientele around
India. From the slums at the Dumping Ground
to the rural villages around Nasik, the
organization has undertaken such a wide
variety of services that reaches some of
India's neediest. Personally, our time with
Niramaya has left us with such a valuable
perspective that will undoubtedly impact our
future clinical and public health goals, and
we look forward to the opportunity to work
with them again. |
